Transportation to the beginning of the course: With a private vehicle, the distance between Konak – Zeytinler, via the İzmir – Çeşme highway, is 54 km. The village is 9 km from the Zeytinler exit of the highway. There are several options for public transportation. Go to the Fahrettin Altay (Üçkuyular) transfer center in Üçkuyular by taking the metro and take the municipal bus number 725 to Urla. From here, you can take the 760 Çeşme – Urla bus and get off at the Uzunkuyu stop. The second alternative is to take the Çeşme bus from the bus terminal next to the Fahrettin Altay transfer center. Get off the bus at the Uzunkuyu stop after having passed the Zeytinler exit. From here on you can get to the beginning point with specific means.
Structure of the course: The course is paved with asphalt and is well-kept from Zeytineli village to Yalı Mahallesi ve Hacılar Koyu. From this point onwards, there are stabilized roads, soil and rocky pathways and thick shrublands.
Details of the course: The course begins at the caisson well at the Zeytineli exit. There is a wind-power plant on the hills to the right. Walking about 1 km along the asphalt road to the south, you enter a pathway to the right before going on the bridge. The pathway continues to the right of and parallel to the river. The route, moving away from the river after a while, reaches Azmak bridge 5 km to the beginning of the route by continuing along the border of gardens and the shoulder. Passing the river through the bridge, continue 400 m to the east on the Yalı Neighborhood asphalt road, turning to the asphalt road on the right from the Zeytineli junction. The road continues going up to Hacılar Bay. There is an energy transmission line to the left. The village can be seen from the peak point of the asphalt road. There are two cell towers to the left. The asphalt road begins to descend. It is possible to get down by cutting through this road. The asphalt road ends at the coast to the left of Hacılar Bay. At the end of the bay, there is an old and large well amongst the ruins. To the left of the well, at the tip of the coast, there is a path covered in shrubs. You continue on the stabilized road along the coast line. This road reaches a small bay. There is a small valley to the left. Karanlıkdere Valley is right across. There is a large sheep pen to the left. You go through the valley. Although there are shrubs, the path is very clean. The path goes all the way to the peak. The road is divided into two at the peak. You start descending to the left. Continuing on the road, you come across Çılga Bay. There is a nice pathway on the valley along Çılga Stream. The path reaches the coast. There are no paths along the coast once you have reached Çılga Bay. Following the coastline after the bay, you pass through an unsafe zone with sharp and slit rocks. Passing through the risky rocks, you reach a small cove. From this point on, ascending from the coast and passing Tekke Mountain, you need to go down to the deep valley. Passing the valley and continuing almost parallel to the valley in the southeast direction, the road connects to the Zeytineli – Gökliman route. Although there is no distinct pathway on the main part of the route, the route has been cleared of shrubs.
