The ancient oracular center in Ahmetbeyli starts at Claros and ends at the upper gate of the ancient city of Ephesus in Selçuk. You can reach the Ahmetbeyli district through the asphalt Menderes road which, although is wide enough, sometimes can have traffic. The route passes through the ancient city of Colophon in Değirmendere and then Sancaklı, Çileme, Karakuyu villages, goes to Yenice, Gölova and Zeytinköy through narrow and asphalt village roads, finally reaching Selçuk. The greater part of the road proceeds through the fertile agricultural lands of Menderes plains, along the green houses and olive groves. The lakes of Gebekirse and Çatal in between Zeytinköy and Selçuk have great views and are quite fascinating regarding the variety migranting birds. There is a good chance for you to see storks flying.
