Transportation to the beginning of the course: If you go to Ildırı from the İzmir – Çeşme highway, situated at an 80 km distance to Konak, you can enter the Old Çeşme road from the end of Uzunkuyu. You should continue walking until you see the Ildırı sign when you pass Germiyan village. If you prefer the old road instead of the highway, you should pass the Narlıdere – Urla İçmeler – Gülbahçe – İzmir Institute of Technology intersection from Konak and follow the road named “manzara kahve”. From there, by following the Barbaros – Kadıovacık – Ildırı village road on the right, you can reach the coast. When you turn right, Ildırı center is 1 km. If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the Çeşme bus from the Üçkuyular city bus terminal and go to the center of the district and take the Ildırı minibuses.
Structure of the course: The course passes through the dirt surface fields and forest roads. When it reaches the coast, it passes through pathways. The course is suitable for trekking and the route parallel to the course is suitable for cycling in every season.
Details of the course: The course that starts at the entrance of ancient city of Erythrai in Ildırı village follows the stabilized dirt road on the east. After 550 m, it separates into three. It goes to the İltur Site on the north and Ildırı on the south. When it enters the road that goes north, it follows the road that is on the left part of the fortification walls. After 265 m, it separates into three different roads. The road which goes to the east connects to the Kadıovacık – Ildırı asphalt through the gardens. You need to enter to the road that goes north. After 500 m, the road separates into two. The road on the left goes to a private land. When you continue walking to the right, the road separates into two again after 390 m. The dirt road that goes south connects to the Kadıovacık – Ildırı asphalt. When you enter the road on the north, you can reach the Ildırı – lltur asphalt after 1210 m. There is an electric transformer on the intersection of the road. You should walk 370 m on the stabilized road, turn left and enter the stabilized road. After 220 m, the stabilized road separates into two:

- The road which goes left reaches a very suitable area to set up a tent and for camping after 175 m. The pathway continues north and after 120 m, it reaches the sea.
- The road which goes to northeast separates into two again after 285 m. When you continue left, you can go to the coast after 300 m. This road goes to a private fishery facility through a pathway between the rocks and the coast. It can be difficult to pass through the rocky terrain with a backpack. The dirt road, which goes north on the right, separates into two again after 750 m. (The road, which goes left, reaches the same private fishery facility after 450 m). The road, which goes right (northeast), separates into two after 700 m. When you turn right, it connects to the Ildırı – İltur – Balıklıova asphalt.
The road, which continues north, reaches the coast after 500 m. in Zeytinköy Cove, on the area where the fish farm is located. The private land here is suitable for camping.
The pathway which continues through the coast and the rocky area reaches the coast again after 1000 m. There are sweet – salty hot water resources in the sea. The region, appropriate for setting up tent, is called Gerence Cove. If you follow the coast from the camping area to the west, you will reach the İltur Site and the pier. If you follow the stabilized road that goes north, you will reach the Karaburun – Ildırı asphalt after 1300 m.
Alternative routes connected to the course: The course connects to the Germiyan – Ildırı (Erythrai) route in Ildırı. It connects to the Yukarıovacık and Karareis courses in Gerence.
Water resources: There are no water resources.
Camping Sites:
- There is an area suitable for camping in the Agora area in the ancient city of Erythrai in Ildırı.
- The private camping area, located at the entrance of Ildırı, is suitable to set up tent. There is also a guesthouse here.
Shopping and accommodation: You can buy all your needs from Ildırı. There are also guesthouses and hotels in the area.
