Transportation to the beginning of the course: Go to the F.Altay transfer center by the municipal bus, metro or ferry. There are regular Karaburun minibuses in the Üçkuyular bus terminal. You can reach Urla by the municipal bus numbered 725 from the F.Altay transfer center and then to Karaburun by the municipal bus numbered 761. Exit from the Karabarun turn on the 106th km of the İzmir – Çeşme highway and arrive to the town through the new or the old road. Apart from highway, an old road in the Narlıdere – Güzelbahçe – Urla – Karaburun direction is another option.
However, Karaburun town center is far from the beginning of the course. Therefore, get off in Balıklıova while travelling to Karaburun by any alternative vehicle. From here, go to Karareis, the beginning of the course. The distance between Balıklıova and Karareis is 22 km.
Structure of the course: There are dwarf shrubs along the course, which consists of mostly valleys and streamsides. Pathways, forest fire extinguishing lanes and tractor roads in the uplands are some of the roads on the course.
Details of the course: The course starts from the junction turning to the Karareis residential area. You move toward east, to the Camiboğazı Stream Valley. You reach Iris Lake through a soil road by passing the stone chips facility. You arrive at the İğdecik fountain in Kapuska region by following the forest road. The sloping soil road takes a turn to the south after a short distance. When the open field is reached, you enter an ascending pathway. After 2.5 km, you reach the Pınaryanı region of Yukarıovacık. You can go to the Köypınarı fountain through the pathway heading northeast. The crest in the east is climbed over and you arrive at Aşağıovacık by entering to the pathway heading east from the three road junction where the soil vehicle roads are crossed at the east of Yukarıovacık.

Natural and historical values: You can view Gerence Gulf and Çeşme from the beginning of the course in the unique geography of the Peninsula, and the Gulf of İzmir when you arrive to Yukarıovacık. The course is appropriate for walking between September and June and is covered with vegetation of the Aegean Region. It is especially rich in terms of olive groves and wild flowers. November – January, February – March and November – January are the periods for the production of daffodils, hyacinths and olive oil, respectively.
