Transportation to the beginning of the course: If you take the İzmir – Çeşme highway in a private vehicle, the distance between Konak and Zeytinler village is 54 km. Kokar village is 22 km through the forest road from the Zeytinler junction of the highway. There are several options for public transportation. Go to the Fahrettin Altay (Üçkuyular) transfer center in Üçkuyular by taking the metro and take the municipal bus number 725 to Urla. From here, you can take the 760 Çeşme – Urla bus and get off at the Uzunkuyu stop. The second alternative is to take the Çeşme bus from the bus terminal next to the Fahrettin Altay transfer center. Get off the bus at the Uzunkuyu stop after having passed the Zeytinler exit. From here on, you can get to the beginning point with specific means. Another option is to walk in the opposite direction of the course in the Zeytinler – Gökliman direction and to return with a private off-road vehicle from Gökliman.

Structure of the course: The course, beginning at the beach, using the road (forest road) leading to the fish farm in the bay, goes through shrubs, open plains and forests continuing in the valley. The road, which is stabilized after the forest fire extinguishing pool, reaches Zeytinler by passing by the eastern skirts of Ulaştıran Tepe and underneath the İzmir – Çeşme highway. Taking its length into consideration, the course is eligible for walks except for in very hot days.

Details of the course: Gökliman, or Kokar Koyu, is a bay with no settlements but a fish farm. The forest road leads to the farm. The whole area almost consists of high shrubs and forest land. The pathways are closed or there are scarcely any. Therefore, the forest road was used for the course. The forest road beginning from the dock, built by fishermen, ascends in the north and northeast direction, reaching the ridge through the shrubs. There is a big area to the left of the road on the ridge plain. The route begins to ascend, once again, passing the plain and entering the forest to the northeast. The course, then, overlooks the coast reaching out to Sığacık Bay and going through the cut forest area, reaches the crossroad parallel to the hillside. The course, continuing northwest at the intersection, enters the valley through the shrubs, heading north.

The course, continuing on the valley and through pine forests, reaches the fire extinguishing pool. Here, the course merges with the Demircili (Airai) – Eski Söğüt – Ulaştıran Tepe – Zeytinler route. From here on, the road becomes stabilized. Continuing through the forest, passing the plantation plain on the right and the housing estates to the left, the road reaches the forest crossroad on the left. At this crossroad, it merges with the Zeytineli – Ulaştıran Tepe – Zeytinler – Birgi course. Following the stabilized forest road to the north, the course, leaving Ulaştıran Tepe on the left, passes underneath the İzmir – Çeşme highway; overlooking the historical bridges in the valley on the right and the windmills on the opposite hillside, it reaches Zeytinler village center passing the Zeytinler junction from underneath. Having a cup of tea at the village coffee house will relieve fatigue.

Alternative routes connected to the course: The course connects to the Zeytineli– Gökliman (Kokar) course on the west in the beginning, and to the Demircili (Airai) – Eski Söğüt - Zeytinler and Zeytineli – Ulaştıran Tepe – Zeytinler – Birgi routes at the end.

Cycling roads: The course is an ideal cycling route. With its scenic views, easy pace and a roundtrip distance of 44 km, it will be a fulfilling route.

Water resources: There are no water resources along the course.

Camping sites: Camping is possible on the shore or on the flat lands along the route; however shopping and water are not available.

Shopping and accommodation: Necessities can be acquired from Urla center. Limited necessities can be acquired from the closest residential areas, Uzunkuyu or Zeytinler. The closest accommodations are the hotel and guesthouses in Urla center or the İskele district. Also, the bungalows of Emek Culture and Art House in Barbaros village, 5 km from Zeytinler, are also an option.

Natural and historical values: The pristine and clean bays and the visual beauties of the in-forest routes form the worth-seeing values of the course.
