The route starts at Karakuyu village, proceeds towards Belevi village and gets to the Selçuk crossing with 14th stage. Moving along towards Torbalı from Karakuyu village, there are narrow asphalt village roads and small but rough ramps on the way to Kaplancık village. As we proceed to the İzmir-Aydın highway, a tumulus beside the ancient remains called Bademgediği can be seen. The ancient city of Metropolis is between Özbey and Yeniköy. The route passes through Ahmetli and Sağlık villages as well as the river Menderes (Meandros), following up the village roads parallel to the highway, finally reaches Selçuk.
Metropolis: Ruins, dating back to 2000 B.C. and the first Bronze Age has been discovered in "the city of Mother Goddess", Metropolis, in Torbalı. The theater, the bouleuterion (the council hall), the baths-gymnasium, the terrace houses reminding the hillside houses of Ephesus, the atrium house (trading establishment) and the latrina (public rest rooms) can be visited.
