Transportation to the beginning of the course: By a private vehicle, you can arrive in Menderes Görece by using the Konak - Airport road. If you prefer the public transportation vehicles, you can go to the ESBAŞ transfer center by the İZBAN train. From here, you can take the bus numbered 708 and arrive in Görece. Moreover, to go to Görece you can also use minibuses that depart from the bus terminal, which you can reach by İZBAN.
Details of the course: The olive extraction systems on this route are entirely different from the ones on other routes. It is likely for you to come across the equipment used for olive oil production abandoned on the streets. While walking around, you will see olive extraction platforms, footing stones, olive extraction stones... Some of these are for the residents of those streets as charity; and some other olive extraction systems, however being a private property, are commonly used by neighborhood residents. You can see various parts of those systems at the street alleys of Görece, Dereköy, Akçaköy, Çatalca and Yeniköy.
You can visit the factory that works with a continuous system at the Menderes center. Yeşilce Olive Oil Factory, which has switched to a continuous system from stone press 15 years ago, has been active for the last 55 years. At the center, there is a footing stone left from the late 15th century, behind the Kasımpaşa Mosque.
There are fountains and markets at every village square where you can quench your thirst and shop.
