Transportation to the beginning of the course:  Go to the Alaçatı center by exiting from the Alaçatı junction on the İzmir – Çeşme highway by a private vehicle. For public transportation, go to the F.Altay (Üçkuyular) transfer center by metro or municipal buses and then reach the Urla center by bus numbered 725. You can go to Alaçatı by the Çeşme municipal bus numbered 760. In addition, you can also travel to Alaçatı by minibuses from Üçkuyular or buses from the İzmir bus terminal.
Details of the course: The Çeşme Castle is one of the historical and cultural values of Çeşme and is worth seeing. The castle was built in 1508 in the period of Sultan Bayezid II. Mir Haydar, the Governor of Aydın, got Mehmet, the son of Ahmet the Architect, to build it. The olive oil pressing stone is within the castle grounds which also includes the Çeşme Archeological Museum.
You can see the super press olive oil mill through a glass room and this mill still operates as a private property in the Ballıdağ direction of Çeşme Ovacık. Alaçatı is a neighborhood belonging to Çeşme. It has become one of the most touristic centers of the Aegean Region with its historical stone houses and beaches available for windsurfing. You can feel the historical texture of many historical stone houses by walking in the streets of Alaçatı. In the yard of a restaurant in Alaçatı, there are some parts used in a three stone mill which squeezed with a sack pressing method until the 1990s and these parts are exhibited as decoration.
There are many surfing schools which are almost 7 km away from Alaçatı center. You can see a number of presses for olive oil and flour mill, worm gear weight stone and mortar in a store called Alaçatı Antika Pazarı operating in a large area.
